Remove contact buttons and nav buttons that lay under a post
Hello all...
Well almost there with my spanking new forum, exciting times... I've just spent several days learning how to modify stuff myself and give something a little more individual... I've been in an out of templates and options like a mad thing on mad pills...
It's great fun I have to say!! It's worth paying to forumotion for the thrills I've had already!!
I want my forum live tomorrow, accepting new members... and so it's time to ask a couple of qstns that I need help on, as I am stuck... but there's just one in this post - the other comes a bit later...
I'd like to remove all of those contact links (WWW PM ONLINE etc) from underneath the post you can see in the image...
I'd also prefer to delete those nav icons to the left as well!
Lean n mean...
I'm going bozz-eyed looking at code, and tbh I've achieved a gr8 deal already!
I'm no coder and this has proved a bit harder to nail sadly...
Fank u, hello...

Re: Remove contact buttons and nav buttons that lay under a post
lol, yeah, actually I hadn't thought about that...
TBH, I want as much screen real-estate as possible, so would just prefer that single table of 2 columns and one row not being there at all...
Thanks for the thought tho, common sense failed me...
But if anyone can tell me how to delete it altogether that'd be awesome...
Thx LGforum !!

Re: Remove contact buttons and nav buttons that lay under a post
Try deleting it from templates.
Display >> Templates >> General >> viewtopic_body template
Delete this part =>
Save and PUBLISH template.
That should get rid of everything.
This will work ofcourse if you gave the right forum version => phpBB2
Display >> Templates >> General >> viewtopic_body template
Delete this part =>
- Code:
<tr>
<td class="{postrow.displayed.ROW_CLASS} browse-arrows"{postrow.displayed.THANK_BGCOLOR} align="center" valign="middle" width="150">
<a href="#top">{L_BACK_TO_TOP}</a> <a href="#bottom">{L_GOTO_DOWN}</a>
</td>
<td class="{postrow.displayed.ROW_CLASS} messaging gensmall"{postrow.displayed.THANK_BGCOLOR} width="100%" height="28">
<table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
<tr>
<td valign="middle">
{postrow.displayed.PROFILE_IMG} {postrow.displayed.PM_IMG} {postrow.displayed.EMAIL_IMG}<!-- BEGIN contact_field --> {postrow.displayed.contact_field.CONTENT}<!-- END contact_field --> {postrow.displayed.ONLINE_IMG}
</td>
</tr>
</table>
</td>
