Background opacity problem

Post by IndoRockers on May 2nd 2011, 1:41 am

Heya guys,

I've been wondering how to adjust the opacity of the border background color?
without making the texts become transparent as well?

I've tried adding
Code:
.bodyline{
    opacity: 1;
    }
since I want to use the background image to decorate my site..
oh, and I'm on PHPBB2..

thanks!

The only way of achieving this would be using images for the background and changing the opacity on them. I'm not sure why the css didn't work but I think its because the class you added it to dosn't have a background colour ect.

Sorry I couldn't be off more help Very Happy

Thanks,
Ben

Thanks for the responses guys! Very Happy
But well um..
Let me explain the problem..

I know you could change the opacity between 0 and 1..
The problem is the opacity changes the whole elements!
except background..

What I want is the opacity of the border to be 0%
so I can design my forum using the background alone..
Here's an example of my youtuhe account: http://bit.ly/fijea_tv
I set the border opacity to 0% and there is my background..

Alternatively, is it possible to change the image background of each borders?
Like header alone, forums, etc..
So I can put a transparent background on it aside of using colours..

the footer border which showing "who's online"..

I'm not sure did I understand you right. You want no borders on your forum (opacity to 0 is like there are no borders)?
Exp. Opacity set to 0% on FM's logo means no logo there http://i.imm.io/5r7v.png
What I want is the opacity of the border to be 0%
You can remove them from each element in one step if you put under it
Code:
border: none;

Or you can
Code:
border-top:
border-right:
border-left:
border-bottom:
And make your settings for each border.

the header border where you can put your forum logo..
the border shows the chatbox, forums, subforums list..
the footer border which showing "who's online"..
You need to find the CSS selectors for each thing you listed here and add border settings.
