Re: Several Customizations
Hello,
1. It is the default style of spoiler/code, what do you want to do with it?(It's already the default style of code and spoiler on your forum)
2.I don't think you can add this, you can use the color tags to change the color of the fonts on posts:
example:
TEXT

Re: Several Customizations
lol no...
the default style of spoiler and code tag is transparent:
since before...
it looks like this one
same as the spoiler tag..
and the code tag doesn't have a
"select content like of that shown above"

Re: Several Customizations
Hi,
1) For the spoiler/code box looks, there has been some CSS Modification, I'm not to sure what they are myself, so Ill await someone else to confirm
However, in terms of getting the "Select content" button, follow my post in this thread, and the code provided in this thread.
2) As far as the colour wheel, I'm sure it's possible, and I'm certain it is through JQuery, however, I'm not sure how to do it personally, I'm not all that knowledgeable, however, I will seek a way to tweek Jalokim's tut for the additional colours next ween, when I get a chance for you.

Re: Several Customizations
Hi, as Darren correctly said, the spoiler and code boxes can be modified using CSS. If you would like a style like the ones we have here, then please add this to your CSS code:
To find your CSS code, please go to:
1. Administration Panel (advanced mode)
2. Display Tab
3. Colors (on the left, under Pictures and Colors)
4. CSS Stylesheet and paste the code there
Regards,
Base
- Code:
dl.codebox {
background-color: #FFFFFF;
border: 1px solid #C9D2D8;
font-size: 1em;
padding: 3px;
}

Re: Several Customizations
It's for phpBB 3, but I can easily get a phpBB 2 code for you if you want. Is your forum version phpBB 3?
Re: Several Customizations
Because of the version differences, you can't get a very similar style for both boxes such as the ones we have here, since we're on phpBB 3. However, to get our font colour for the code boxes, you can add this to your CSS code:
- Code:
.code div.cont_code {
color: #2E8B57;
max-height: 200px;
overflow: auto;
}
Re: Several Customizations
oh i see man, i think i need to change the version of my forum to have this kind of stuffs right? also the thing about select content? im seeing that it only works for phpbb3? i have to do a full customization of my css to maintain the similar skin that we are having...
hahaha,
here is the link up to my forum,

Re: Several Customizations
Concerning the select content button, it should work on all versions, I got it to work with the method and codes provided on all versions (PHPBB2 &3, PunBB and InVision) without an issue. The God must of had some conflicting codes for some reason.
I'm sorry, I haven't made an attempt to tweek the current BBCode colours coding as I've been in another city for the weekend.
hey Base, whatever happened to the select content button here eh?

Oh right! The select content button will work on phpBB 2 as well as phpBB 3.
IamSpiX11, if you would like to have a select content button like we do here on the support forum, you will need to create a new HTML page and paste the following code inside:
- Code:
function selectCode(a)
{
// Get ID of code block
var e = a.parentNode.parentNode.getElementsByTagName('CODE')[0];
// Not IE
if (window.getSelection)
{
var s = window.getSelection();
// Safari
if (s.setBaseAndExtent)
{
s.setBaseAndExtent(e, 0, e, e.innerText.length - 1);
}
// Firefox and Opera
else
{
// workaround for bug # 42885
if (window.opera && e.innerHTML.substring(e.innerHTML.length - 4) == '<BR>')
{
e.innerHTML = e.innerHTML + ' ';
}
var r = document.createRange();
r.selectNodeContents(e);
s.removeAllRanges();
s.addRange(r);
}
}
// Some older browsers
else if (document.getSelection)
{
var s = document.getSelection();
var r = document.createRange();
r.selectNodeContents(e);
s.removeAllRanges();
s.addRange(r);
}
// IE
else if (document.selection)
{
var r = document.body.createTextRange();
r.moveToElementText(e);
r.select();
}
}
if(text){}else{ var text = 'Selecionar todos';}
jQuery(document).ready(function(){
jQuery("dl.codebox dt").not("dl.spoiler > dt").html('Code: <a href="#" onclick="selectCode(this); return false;" title="Select all the content" class="code-a">Select All</a>');
});
Once you have done that, you will need to paste the following code in your site description:
- Code:
<script src="/h#-" type="text/javascript"></script>
The # sign will need to be placed with the ID number of the HTML page you've just created and the name of the page will also need to be followed after the hyphen.
Re: Several Customizations
P.S. Base, that code will work on IPB & Pun we well

Re: Several Customizations
So just for clarification, the code Base supplied didn't work for the 'select content' button, correct?
Just for clarification, are you on PunBB or PHPBB2?
Ill get started tomorrow morning, it's way to complex for my brain to handle after driving all day

Re: Several Customizations
Bumping again, select content aint working on phpbb2, how about template editing? will that one worK
Re: Several Customizations
you would have to find the code/script for the color pallet and test it to make sure it works and however it has to be set up.
then it's going to be a matter of going into the template,removing forumotions, and replacing it with the new coding .. providing you are able to find something that works and will be compatible in the template.
So you find the script /coding, and i will test and see if there is a way to get it to work.
Hey why don't we add photoshop in there too while were at it... lol
Honestly? who needs all those colors on a forum anyway

Re: Several Customizations
Sorry about this.
Here's a code, I think it's the right one for PHPBB2, I've got several copies of it, just doing completely incorrect things, and trying to get it to work.
I've just got to worn you, if you implement this PHPBB2 code, you will lose the ability to edit a post and use it's default BBCodes, which is what I'm trying to find a way to stop it from removing it, within my free time, which I don't have much of as of lately.
I've been unable to change the current colour pallet to a custom such as that, simply because my skills aren't good enough I believe.

- Code:
$(function() {
x = $('table tr td span:contains("Code:")').parent().parent().parent().get();
for (i = 0; i < x.length; i++) {
x[i].childNodes[0].childNodes[0].innerHTML='<strong>Code - <a class="selectAll" href="#">Select all</a></strong>';
o = $(x[i]).find('.cont_code').html();
$(x[i]).find('.cont_code').htm;
$('.selectAll').click(function() {
$(this).parent().parent().parent().parent().find('.cont_code').find('textarea').trigger('focus').trigger('select');
return false;
});
};
});

are you referring to the adding of colors on color selector??
somehow it aint working, idk why..
yeah, the "select all" is there, but ain't selecting the content..
Re: Several Customizations
Hmm, so thats the dodgy one. Damn.
Try this one, but it's downside is that it decreases the code boxes' size.
Thanks to Saxaca for this one
