Difference between Admins and Moderators - Solved
I have read the tutorials on how to set up moderators. But I'm terribly confused as to what the difference is between and admin and a moderator. Also can there be more then one admin (I and 3 other people want to run this forum)
Thank you.
Thank you.

Re: Difference between Admins and Moderators - Solved
Hello. First of all a moderator is a member of a Forum that Can Edit and delete posts. They are in charge of Getting rid of spam and other unsuitable content. They can also ban members who do obey the forum rules. Admins, on the other hand Can do everything that Moderators can do, Plus they can edit the forum it self (e.g Adding too or changing the theme, Adding new sub-forums and categories, Adding members in to different groups and other things to do with the Administration panel.) And yes you can have other Administrators. (But! They Cannot View the MISC section of the Admin panel, that is only for the forum founder.) If you need help on how to add More admins; Don't be afraid to ask for help.Whisperingtruth wrote:I have read the tutorials on how to set up moderators. Okay this is how you do it: Go into the admin Panel, Go into users and groups, Click on the Link that says "Groups", Click on the group that says "Administrators", Scroll down, then Type the name of the user you want to add and click "add member" And that should do it!Whisperingtruth wrote:I do need help on learning how to add other Administrators. P.S if you want the group to be visible to other members Check the dot by the option that says "Closed group"

Thank you! I was able to do it. However, I am not sure what you mean by "viable to others".

What i meant to type was "Visible" Which means that normal members and moderators can see the group. You can also Make a Unique color for the group if you want.Whisperingtruth wrote:Thank you! I was able to do it. However, I am not sure what you mean by "viable to others".
P.S if i were you i would mark the Topic "Solved' So a moderator can lock. but only do that if the problem really is solved.
