Calander won't associate with correct forum

Post by ElMuggs on May 18th 2011, 1:53 pm

Hi I'm trying to set up a forum for 'Upcoming Events' for my roleplay site to be associated with the Calendar which you can see here

All was going well except that after making the forum and trying to associating it with Calendar it always defaults to the 'Europe' forum... located somewhere completely different.

I've tried renaming the forum, moving the forum and checked all the permissions and yet it will associate to just about any forum but the one I need.

What is this setting on? Select the forum associated with your events in the calendar settings in the admin panel? Make sure its blank.

A picture tells a thousand words right? Okay so this is how i set it under Modules>Calendar>Calendar Configuration:

One I hit save i get:

And a photo of the structure of our board showing their location, i didn't bother screenshotting the permissions as they are identical for both forums.

Sorry but what do you mean by making 'it' blank?

I'm assuming you mean setting the default forum to blank ala none at all?

I can set it to a blank value and that works but this doesn't solve my problem as i want it associated to the Upcoming Events forum.

That drop down box is going to be a white space, pick that.

Yes I've done that, but it doesn't solve my problem as it just defaults to Europe again

My Problem isn't getting it to work, it's getting it to show the correct forum and not defaulting to something else.

My question is why is it defaulting to Europe in the first place?

What's different that makes Europe work and not the Upcoming Events forum?

and why can i set it to any forum but Upcoming Events.

That's where I'm stuck
