Posts getting marked as read without anyone doing so.

Myself, and loads of other members are getting annoyed by the forum posts getting marked of as read. (this is on my forum)

We have a yellow button for new posts, and it sometimes goes of. However, sometimes it goes off, then when we click home or something else it clears all the notifications.

How to fix this?

The thing is it happens at random times. It may not even happen to people at all.

Hi,

A topics are marked as 'read' even if you log in, then leave the page and for example, go to, say, Google, or another site.
I personally stay logged into this SF, overnight,and come back in the morning, check for PM's then proceed to other stuff; the 5 seconds it takes for me to load the index page, all topics are marked as read.

This isn't an issue, it's how the PHPBB software is written

EDIT: A member on the forum says he never logs off. So, their must be a issue.
