Solved Handing forum over to new founder

Post by Scarlett Johansson Sat May 28 2011, 21:25

I want to leave my forum and hand it over to a new founder.

I have read the tutorial, but I am not sure if I understand the very first point correctly:

"It is necessary that the founder username exchange (in the example by replacing "Team Administration")."

It can't mean that I simply have to change my username, because I'm then going to delete all my posts anyway. So where do I go, and what exactly do I do?

I think what it means is have the NEW founder create a account and promote him automaticly and he demotes you...It has to be something like that

I think you mean 'can't give the founder rank'?

As she says though, the founder account remains the same -you just change the name (for example mine is Lisa, if I handed to a Sarah I'd change it to Sarah and she posts on that account from then onwards)

You simply cannot create a new founder account - the founder is always the founder and you can't change that!
