"New Messages" Problem
Hi, I've made a navigation bar manually, but I have a problem with the "Messages" Can we make a change to New Messages whenever there are new messages?
so i'f we have a messages, the link will be like this "You Have 1 new messages"

you will have to leave that in place in order for it to work,
There is no sort of link to add to a custom nab bar for that option,
what i did is usually leave log in/log out,profile and messages,
Then the rest create a custom bar for what ever i want and just add above or below it.
Or it might be better just create your own images and add in place of your default that came with the forum.

I 've got the same problem. Can anybody give us the code for this? I don't want it to display the number of new messages. I just want to display "No new messages" or "New messages".

Thanks a lot. I found the ajax code but i don't know how to add it in overall_header. I did copy-paste but it just prints the code. Can you help me?
My version is punbb if it matters . . .

Now it doesn't print anything. How can I print just the count variable?
