I need access to the database in order to move my data to another forum. I do not want to hear that it's not available. That's ridiculous. I'll even pay for that access, presuming it's reasonable. Or if not the access, the data itself. How do I make this happen?

Hi, sorry but ForuMotion does not offer access to their database for anyone I'm afraid.

That's really not acceptable. There may be nothing I can do about it, but it's a terrible policy and it's just not ok that I can't get my data.

Well, Forumotion does reserve the right to not hand out its databases. Take a look at this topic for more information: https://help.forumotion.com/t91154-transfer-my-forum

They can reserve any right they want and I can't stop them, but that doesn't make this a good or customer friendly policy. There is no reason forumotion should need to "reserve the right" to keep me from exporting my data in such a way that it can be imported elsewhere- the functionality exists and is widely used in many other forums. I understand that you are saying "no" and that there isn't anything I can do about it- I am simply responding that this is an unacceptable restriction that has no justification. And the link you provided is for this same thread, so if you were thinking you were providing some justification, you didn't.

You can't get your database. If I can't, you can't.

I am very sorry, but that's how things work with database.

I will go ahead and lock this topic since the answer is given.
