Transferring domain name
I would like to request a domain name transfer. I read elsewhere on these support forums that Typlo was the person to do this, and he is no longer available. I was wondering what the status of this situation is, and how long it will last?
Also, just wanted to start the process of myself getting recognized that I will need a transfer whenever things get sorted out.
Thank you,
Syn

Re: Transferring domain name
We don't know when this feature will be back. Only when the big boss says. Sorry.

Re: Transferring domain name
I hope this issue gets resolved soon.
Rather inconvenient when I decide to move hosts, I cant lol. Bad timing.
Keep the updates coming!
Thanks.
EDIT:
So technically I need the authorization code, and I need you to change the Administrative email on the account to an email I provide?
Please reply back.

EDIT:
1) Per ICANN regulations a domain must reside with the current registrar for at least sixty (60) days before it may be transferred to another registrar.
2) The domain name must be unlocked. For more information on this, please refer to the current registrar.
3) Domain transfers require an 'authorization code' or 'EPP Code'. Different registrars use different names for it, but its generally the same thing. This should have been issued when you registered the domain name. If not, please contact the current registrar to obtain it. If you have a registry key for your domain, please provide that as well.
4) You must have access to the admin email address. The email address LEFTANALOG.COM@domainsbyproxy.com is currently listed as the administrative contact. If you do not have access to this, please update it before you have us request the transfer.

Re: Transferring domain name
Like I said, we can't do transfers at this time.

Re: Transferring domain name
I understand you cant do them at this time.
However its not good PR to simply give me that statement. A suggested timeline, or perhaps a bit of an expansion on what the process your staff is undergoing to resolve such issues (with the departure of Typlo).
You are an administrator for a large company. You should know more about what is going on behind the scenes to alleviate various tasks.

Im pretty sure that Mr.Mario isn't paid for his job and that he just works on the forum. The only admin that knows really what is going on that is here is The Godfather.

Re: Transferring domain name
I understand your concern, but since I don't work for the company and haven't been told other then this option not being allowed at this time. If I had more to say I wouldn't of said "not at this time."

Re: Transferring domain name
Is there a place where I can view the hierarchy of staff on these support forums?
I seen you were an administrator and assumed you were high on the "Staff" ladder. At least enough informed to give a clearer picture of whats goin on.
That was my mistake.

Re: Transferring domain name
Check out the groups. It doesn't matter how the hierarchy is. The only person who currently handles domain issues is The Godfather as mentioned. Also, MrMario has given you quite a clear picture on what you are supposed to be doing.SyndromeLA wrote:Is there a place where I can view the hierarchy of staff on these support forums?

Re: Transferring domain name
All Mr.Mario has told me, they dont know when the feature will be back.
How has that told me what I should be doing?
I dont mean to sound like an ignorant mean person, so sorry if im coming across like that. I cant contact Godfather directly... as they have no contact info (PM's neither).
So I guess ill sit here and wait for a "This is what you need to do" post.

Re: Transferring domain name
There isn't anything you can do, but wait and see if this option will be back.
Godfather can't be contacted because I am the only one who can contact him via PM.
