I have started this thread after reading the above post as well as many related posts here on forumotion; but what I couldn't find is a tutorial about how to integrate the facebook login button in forums...
I mean I have created a fanpage; have included facebook like box in my forum but can't figure out this login issue. Can anyone post sort off tutorial

Administration Panel>>Modules>>Facebook Connect>>Configuration

You have to create an app on Facebook.

Administration Panel>>Modules>>Facebook Connect>>Configuration

You will have to enter your:
app ID
Facebook secret code
Activate Facebook Connect module (yes)
There are two other options you can activate, too

When your topic has been solved, ensure you mark the topic solved.
Never post your email in public.

Facebook secret code
This is the trouble.

the last digits are the secret code but what is the application id??

I would not post the code here. That number is not your secret code.
Go to Facebook>>Home>>Apps>>Your Apps>>See My Apps>>App ID (the first one)>>App Secret (the third one)
