Solved I found an error

Post by kinkiistudios on July 7th 2011, 11:33 pm

Well, this isn't exactly an error but it is more of a block. You guys should unblock this.

When i visit general/categories and forums/permissions

It says view and read, i could change this. I want only guests to see this forum and not members. Why? I have a google ad placed on one of the locked forums, i want registered users to not be able to see this ad. I don't have this option though because when i untick members from seeing it guest automatically unticks, and when i tick guests to see it members automatically get ticked.

how about put your members to moderators group?, but delete all the right and permission for moderators, so the members cant do moderators thing.. and also change the name of moderators group into Registered Members, how about that ?

Hmm.. Yea i think that would work. But you see the thing is the members would be in the group by default, but they might leave.
It'd be so much easier if forumotion just allowed us to set different permissions...

Tell your members dont leave the group, if they do so, they will see the advertisement, it can make them worry to leave the group, cz they see no profit for leaving the group. You can use this system awhile waiting forumotion improving this such thing.

also if you want this thing implementate on forumotion, you can create a polling topic, post it on forum suggestion section, maybe they`ll agree with it, but maybe no, just try it kinkiistudios . Razz
