Miniprofile question

Post by Samalot on July 20th 2011, 2:57 am

I am very new to phpbb and I had a question:

I know it is possible to add a new field that displays what group a user is in ?

Or, if I gave users more than one special rank, would they show up ?

-----------------

Basicly, I want it have 'admin' under my name and other peoples groups (there are many) under their username.
But already have an asigned special rank 'Staff'

Thanks in advance for you help Smile

-Sam

it isnt possible to have 2 ranks assigned at once, but you can do it another way.

Go to Users & Groups>Users>Profiles.

Add another field and leave "Who can modify the profile field value ?" blank to the user.then you could edit it for one person to make it say "Global Mod" or whatever.

When you modify your rank you can put this instead in the text value:

"Admin / Global Mod / (etc.) / (etc.)"

You can put whatever you want or however many groups you want separated by the slash. Then you simply just assign that special rank to whoever you want to have it. Wink
