In progress Post headers?

Post by JDC on August 1st 2011, 9:29 am

Is there any way for a user to have their own custom header and change it, just like the footer?

Thank you.

Every post has a header, the body and a footer.

This is the post body, where I am posting now. On forumotion, you have the option for users to change the post footer (below the post), however, there is no option(That I can see) to change the post header.

Is there a way to do this? I want each user to have their own custom header, to implement a "layout" system.

When you say post header do you mean this http://i.imm.io/7O0x.png ?
Forum version is?
Something like this?
Code:
.postbody {
    background-image: url("http://www.dodaj.rs/f/9/we/4kUEtpK9/novideo.gif");
}

I don't mean that, unfortunately. Sorry if my point is unclear.

Basically, I mean the start of your post, just before the message content.
I don't mean the top of your post, just a small peice of information just before the post.

I just want a type of Signature that is above your post rather than below it. Look at the example below:

Code:

Post header
====

Actual post content.
(The body)

===
Post footer.
AKA A signature
I want a way to make a 'post header' in the example above.

Hi JDC,
I'm still a bit unclear on that, I'm sorry

Post header, is it this for you? Where you see 'New topic' button?

It's not! Sorry.

I'll explain this a different way.
I want some feature so you can define what goes before your actual post content.
Like a signature, you can't 'see' the signature, but it is added to the bottom of your post.
What I want is something added to the top of your post, like a signature, but on the top of post
instead of bottom.

I don't mean the section with the new topic. Think the signature. It's not a section below, but it's a block of text just added below the post content. The post header should be exactly like this, but it should be above the post instead of below it. The post header would just be a block of text or HTML, like a footer, but it will be above the post, like the signature is below the post.

Does this help?

My forum version is PHPBB2 subsilver

That's closer to what I mean, but the picture/text whatever should still be in the post feild.

Thank you.

This goes to CSS, change link, height etc.
Code:
.novo {
    background-image: url('http://r29.imgfast.net/users/3412/19/22/63/avatars/42273-72.png');
    height: 100px;
}
This goes to templates > viewtopic_body temlate
Code:
<div class="novo"></div>
Just before this
Code:
         <div>{postrow.displayed.MESSAGE}</div>
Publish template on green cross Add
Resault => http://i.imm.io/7Rvm.png

Where would I add the CSS .novo?

Secondly, I want each user to have their own custom header, which will have basic html/text

Thank you. Actually, I would like every user to have a post header, much like every user has their post footer.
