As much as I want to agree, I think this would be unfair on forumotion's side so I voted no.

I wanna vote yes, but I am afraid it would be not polite, so I choose not to vote.

Re: Activity Points convert to Credits!
i see many of you ask how will forumotion make money?
Well your only allowed to convert 200 points to credits per 2 days
and if you want more? You have to pay!
That's how they will make money

This, in some ways is a good idea. It'll be fair on forumtion's side if it users are enabled to convert 50 points per credit.

That's still a lot and would make Forumotion lose money. I am sure they won't do this because they want money from credits. But having enough points you have a chance to get a free domain so I would stay with this offer.

Re: Activity Points convert to Credits!
I think this is a really one sided idea. Forummotion would lose out on a lot of money. Now if they had it so you could pay a monthly fee to covert your activity points into credits sounds a little better.
Like if you paid 25$ a month to convert half your activity into credits and 50$ for I dont know 75%. something like that sounds a lot better

The prices of course can be edited to fit any budget, but I think the idea of it should wok out for both parties.

Re: Activity Points convert to Credits!
Every year you can divide by 10 the amount of Acitvaty points you have into credits
And Mario I have heard about this free domain thing is there anywhere where I can learn more?

Re: Activity Points convert to Credits!
I think it's a good idea and a bad idea at the same time.
My big gripe is that I just found out that it seems once you buy credits to purchase better services, the next time you go to buy credits the cost is arbitrarily raised. Now, it really doesn't cost a lot to host a forum, no matter what the traffic is, so I don't see why the credit requirements get arbitrarily raised like that.
Ultimately this might lead to our group moving yet again (we just moved from a paid guildportal site because we had more features here and I *thought* it was going to end up cheaper for us) because we just aren't going to pay upwards of 100 bucks a year for a simple chat forum.
Being able to earn even a small amount of activity credits would go a long way in keeping folks who fully intend to throw some money Forumotion's way without breaking our backs with crazy rising costs.

Re: Activity Points convert to Credits!
Good point Souljacker, is this true Mr.Mario that the price is raised each time you proceed to purchase credits? If so i think that's a little unfair. I don't have any activity points yet as i haven't gone public with my forum yet, but this would seriously make me reconsider purchasing the personal domain name, i was planning on maximizing my members experience by buying the whole shebang right from the beginning but it seems like a trap if you wanna keep the forums continuity if it becomes very popular and really active, i'd hate to have this forum for 3 years and on the third be paying an extreme amount for the things that i'm willing to pay a continuous price for, i mean it seems unfair.
So maybe the ability to exchange some type of points for credits seems like a fair medium. I mean would i get to the point of paying $600.00 for my domain name?!?!?!

Re: Activity Points convert to Credits!
IDK. I mean that would be taking alot from forumotion. It would probably cost alot. So I'll vote yes though because I like it too.

Hello,
I don't think this will ever be accepted since FM won't generate revenues if ever this was implemented.
I'll close this topic as part of the suggestion clean up.
