Issue with banning
Hello, I'm new to this whole forum thing, and I was searching for a place to roleplay. Through a suggestion of my roomate I was asked to join a site known as 'Ultimate Shinobi'. Now, I don't know what I did wrong, but as soon as I signed on I was banned. Perhaps my name is a bit suggestive if you're thinking of it in a rather different light, but I don't see any reason for me to be banned like I was. I simply wanted to roleplay.
Here is the site's url: Link
I'm so new that my roomate had to help me post this. ><

Re: Issue with banning
I looked at the memberlist and saw your name there. How do you know that you are ban?
Re: Issue with banning
It shows a page which simply states "You have been banned from this Forum."

Re: Issue with banning
no indication in your profile?
but it could be they choose not to use a ban or text icon? i dont know

You have zero post, try log in and post something ,
Other then that we have no control over what other forum admins, founder or staff do on their forums as far as banning someone.
So you would have to contact them and see if they will let you back in or not?
If you are indeed even banned.. can you get a screen shot of what it says when you log in.

Re: Issue with banning
Hi,
the issue is present because of a server crashing a few days ago, the techs are looking into the issue and correcting it, as well as many other issues
Should be corrected soonish, just keep attempting to log in, every 2nd time you should be able to log in.

Re: Issue with banning
Sounds like you got IP Banned instead, that's easier to solve
Go to the utilities
=> https://www.forumotion.com/en/utils/
Log in, and connect to your admin panel via the option called "Direct connection" and head to Users& groups > Ban control > IP ban > Remove your IP
Find your IP via: http://whatismyipaddress.com/ or double click on the 2 computer icon's next to the clock on your task bar.

Re: Issue with banning
I'm not the admin, I was trying to become a member. I got banned out right, and I did nothing. >< I don't know why. I was coming here to see what happened.

Re: Issue with banning
Still hasn't worked. I think I was simply banned for the sake of being banned. I think this site has a really strange owner.

Re: Issue with banning
Well, to be honest with you, we can't control anything that the forum's admin's do, we only intervene if there's a violation of the Terms Of Service, or s/he asks for help.
I could only recommend you to use a proxy if you desire.

Re: Issue with banning
Have you tried to contact the admin or other staff through the contact link in their footer, or you can also send a abuse and just explain you sent it that way because you did not know how to contact them and would like to be added back to the forum?
But thats about all you can do.
