Various issue with the mobile mode on HTC Incredible S
So yea, thought the techs may want to know this.
Ive done a hard & soft reset of the phone and it still continues to not remember the preferred mode of 'Classic mode'. I've also verified this on several handsets.
HTC Incredible S.
Cheers,
Darren.

Re: Various issue with the mobile mode on HTC Incredible S
hahahaha know the feeling Kirk
Sorry to day, whatever's happened made clicking the 'classic mode' button useless as it now doesn't change to the classic mode; I have to disable 'allow mobile view of websites' option to see the classic mode....
Though, It does act as if I'm logged in, showing new/no new posts icons.

I asked about this and Typlo told me that the mobile feature is still being worked on and will hopefully get all mobiles working.

That's the thing Mario, it was working fine, as expected, but then it started forgetting, and now the 'classic button' may as well not exist, it doesn't redirect anymore lol.
Even though, I like being able to remain logged in with the mobile version with the tradition new/no new icons

Bump. Can't even even switch between Classic & Mobile mode anymore - again
Also, I can't log out, because it has too many server redirects, oh, and the remove cookie function doesn't work on the Incredible S either lol.

Thanks Mario, please let me know when you do get a word
Whats funny is, the signature separation line shows up once logged in, but not when ur logged out, whilst the mobile mode is active...

Re: Various issue with the mobile mode on HTC Incredible S
Could "classic mode" be 'Desktop Version?' In the future will there be a way we could design our own Mobile versions or a different colour other than blue? The Godfather wrote:the mobile feature is specially developed for iPhone. so not guaranteed to work with other devices ...!
Maybe even matching our forums?

Thank you Godfather.
So, that leave me with 2 follow up questions -
1) If it is iPhone specific, why it is categorized as "All smart phones", which in my opinion wouldn't be correct?
2) Is there any planned developments for an Andriod version of the feature?
I know it would be continuously difficult to keep up with the new Andriod phones, but it would be necessary for the newer phones which will have more capability in the future.
Sign, I don't know of any way to modify the mode, though I've heard of a way... but not how to change that specific button, nor is there a way to modify the skin - just very minor edits, such as the font

you can already do thant amigo! just need a little bit CSS skills
a great exemple here: http://mobile.123.st
use your mobile to see it, you'll see this:
as you see, the mobile version is totally designed by the admin...
i'm sorry, i have only a french tutorial about how to do that, you can see it from here:

Re: Various issue with the mobile mode on HTC Incredible S
I suppose Ill reinstate my issue's:
The classic/mobile mode preference isn't remembers, and from time to time, upon selecting the "Classic mode" button, it does not refresh to the traditional "Classic" mode.
Noe being aware that the feature is specific to Iphone, is there a planned development to have a native Andriod version?
And, if it is iPhone specific, why it is categorized as "All smart phones", which in my opinion wouldn't be correct?
