In progress Server down?

Post by Inanna August 16th 2011, 18:52

Hello all! I can't seem to make any admin changes to a new forum I am putting together. I click the button to save or submit but it eventually just times out. Other forums I have seem ok, just this one has problems. Is there a way of telling if the forumotion server that it is hosted on is down, and if so, how do I report this?

The error message I receive is as follows:

The following error was encountered:

Zero Sized Reply

It's not when I click on the admin link. It's when I try and save any changes to the site on the admin panel. Any grapics or display changes, for example. We have tried this on 2 different computers now and also have tried rebooting the router. We did a cmd line ping of the site and it gets to about step 16 or so then times out. Hope this helps? Smile

I appreciate your help but the password to the forum is one I use for other things and I'd rather not give it out. I'm trying to change it atm but the site keeps timing out with the same error still. Sad Besides, when I tried to send the PM it says that you can't recieve pms? *bangs head off of keyboard* Sad

Sanket, it is still saying you can't receive pms even when I click the post reply. And until I can change my password, I won't give it out. I hope you can understand that. Sad I have attached the route trace for you to have a look at. I hope that helps.

Thank you, Ape Man. I just checked it again and still no luck. Hopefully it will clear up by tomorrow. *crosses fingers*

It isn't solved yet, Godfather. I still can't save any changes to it and have had to make a second forum because I need one up and running sooner rather than later. Sad I'll delete the first as soon as I am able but it still times out when I try and save any changes. I have now checked it from someone elses house as well and it still does the same thing so I know it can't be anything at my end.

The problem is still not solved but I've kind of given up on getting any help unless I'm willing to give out my password which just seems more than a bit unprofessional. Very disappointing. Confused

We as support staff cannot do much. I don't think we are obliged to even take the trouble to login to your forum. Its upto you, whether you want to give the password or not. I don't think there is anything more to say in this thread.
