Merging forums into 1, need to do 301 redirects on dead forums to make life easier. How?

You can always delete old section and merge the content to a new one.
It will ask you this before deleting the section.

This is not what I'm asking, they are separate forums, with separte URLs. ie:
name1.forumotion.com
name2.forumotion.com
name3.forumotion.com
I'd prefer not to mess up the seo, and allow the spiders to follow me
