Beveled Edges on Forum Background Not Working

Post by Lee Tamotsu on August 30th 2011, 1:54 am

Alright so a few weeks back, I had gotten some help by making my forum background and different sections beveled. Like the post boxes and so on.

It works great in FireFox, which I use, but I realized that in IE and Safari, that it does not work. Is there a way to mend this situation? I also have had someone who used FireFox claim that the background and borders are still boxy/jagged and not beveled.

If anyone is using FireFox, could you confirm this? But most importantly, I want to know if there is a way to fix it so that it works for the most used search engines...thanks!

Here's my forum link below for reference.

For some reason, it never worked for me in phpbb3, so I had to use CSS.

body .post{
-moz-border-radius: 11px;
-webkit-border-radius: 11px;
}

body .module{
-moz-border-radius: 11px;
-webkit-border-radius: 11px;
}

body .panel{
-moz-border-radius: 11px;
-webkit-border-radius: 11px;
}

body .forabg {
-moz-border-radius: 11px;
-moz-webkit-border-radius: 11px;
-moz-o-border-radius: 11px;
-moz-khtml-border-radius: 11px;
}

body .forumbg {
-moz-border-radius: 11px;
-moz-webkit-border-radius: 11px;
-moz-o-border-radius: 11px;
-moz-khtml-border-radius: 11px;
}
This is a really long quote code, from part of my CSS. Anyway, I think I have what you explained for me to add in. I had it this way for at least two weeks or so.

Could there be another possible problem?

The code works like it should on FireFox still (or maybe just for me)

But when I open Safari or IE, even after deleting all history in case it's getting an earlier cache, it shows up with the pointy box design.

Great! It appears to be working for Safari and FireFox now, but still no go for IE. Thanks though, you're really being a big help.

It says that I have IE 9.0.8112, I doubled checked with the About IE link. Are rounded edges just not too likely with IE?

I mean I'm fine with that, if it isn't. But I'd rather have it work on IE to, if it should.

Like the others, it works with every browser except IE. Thanks though, for taking time to help me out.

I did, and it worked for Safari and FireFox, but not IE.
