2 Ranks Images?

Hello! I'd like to add more than one rank image to my member's profiles and messages. One, of course, is post rank, while the other is a little award for high number of posts. I have found this topic, but it doesn't say anything about adding images for multiple ranks (if I've missed that it does, I apologize, and please point out where it says that). I don't really want to do an award in AP ==> Users & Groups ==> Profiles, because I don't want to have to assign this to members manually if this can be done automatically, such as with a rank, so I can make sure it gets done without forgetting to offer someone an award justly earned.

Is there a way to make two image ranks, one for rising post counts (example: Newbie; Intermediate, the other an award (example: 500 posts award; 1000 posts award)?

Not possible to have automatic ranks. You will need one more profile field.

I thought the ranks that were not special ranks were automatically updated when a member reached a certain post count?

Yes thats the only one. For the 2nd rank, you can have a profile field. But, you will have to give ranks manually for that profile field.
