IP Ban
Hey i recently banned a memeber of my forum as he was rude towards myself and other members, i banned him but he keeps signing up using a new user name how do i ip ban him so he wont keep coming back.

Ok.
In the "Search User IP Address" bit you will need to put in the username of the account you want to ban and hit search.
That should then return a list of IP addresses that the owner of the account has used to visit the forums. You can then click on one of the IP's that are listed and it will appear in the box below for "IP Addresses and Hostnames:".
The problem is that it will only show IP address's that have been used to make posts on your forum. Therefore, if the account has not posted on the forums you will just have to ban the account on it's own.
Alternatively you could check to see if they are using the same email address for all of the accounts they are creating and ban the email address instead.
I know the account banning isn't the best solution for your problem but it seems that Forumotion don't keep a record of the IP address that accounts have been created from.

Any messages that are posted on the forum have an IP number associated with them, in the moderator/Admin options on the message/edit forum Topic page, just copy the IP number from that and insert in the ACP page given above and save
