Obtaining the Founder account of an inactive forum?
Weeeeeeell, where to starttttttt......
I guess I'll just type and see how this goes. Well, here's the situation.
There was this forum. On this forum, the Webmaster declared that he would not be involved [Yes, this includes logging on the site] anymore. Yet, he decided to retain the Webmaster position.
So, we [the Administrators] decided that we would move the site, which we did. We have been moved for quite some time now, at least since last November or December.
So, on the old forum, everything has been deleted and it's basically empty. nothing's going on there. So, my question is this "Is it possible for the founder account to be given to me since the forum has gone completely inactive?" I've read your topic explaining how it is transferred, but my situation is not really the norm. A couple admins, even the Webmaster have logged on within the past six months, but if you take a look at the site, you can surely see nothing is going on there. If you can somehow pull up deleted posts from forums, you would also see that the last post on the forum was made sometime in 2010.
Is it possible and if so, what steps would I take in doing this?

Re: Obtaining the Founder account of an inactive forum?
Before any more help is given:
Can you please change the title of your problem from something like “Help, Urgent, Few questions, Problems, SOS” to something more related to your query/problem.
Your changing the title to something related to the problem will help users who will use the search feature on this forum to solve a similar problem. This way, your problem will be a solution for someone else’s problem.
Please confirm with the requirement to get help from members as well as staff.
Members are advised to confirm with this requirement & avoid helping unless the title is changed.
Your co-operation will help us in making this forum efficient. Thank you.

Thank you. Perhaps this link might help: https://help.forumotion.com/t81878-recovery-or-change-founder-of-an-account
Re: Obtaining the Founder account of an inactive forum?
I've already read that which is why I proceeded to make this topic - that and the fact that apparently, I could not send anyone a PM without having any posts. Lol.
My situation does not perfectly fit into your 3 described categories under which a person may acquire the founder account. Yet, the site has been inactive for longer than 6 months...and is not wanted by anyone.
As of now, the site just exists.
So, I'm wondering how I go about obtaining the founder account? Still the same way described in the link you posted?

You will need to talk with the founder of the site about this issue. We are unable to assist you in this area.
