Points System and Subforums?

Hi, not sure if this is the right section for this question, but I thought I'd give it a try.

On the forum I'm an admin on, we've changed the amount of points earned for each message and post a member does. However, I've noticed that when you make a new subforum, the point values for that specific subforum return to the default values again. Is there a way to automatically assign the changed values to new subforums or will I have to do it manually every time?
