Finding IP Address for a New Account Activation request
I have my New Account Activation set to Admin
Is there any way to see the new account's IP address before I accept and activate it.
Also I do activate it, unless the person posts, I still haven't found a place to see their IP address.
I have gone through the tutorials and either I missed it or it is not covered.
Any help would be appreciated.
PS - I do know if they post you can use the Find IP button, which works great by the way.

No you can only see IP address if a user is logged in, or if they post.
If the user is logged in then you will see the IP on the ACP home page.
Other then that they would have to have a post and you will see the view ip icon in thire post.

If you don't want certain IP addresses on your forum, you can always ban them through Admin Panel > Users & Groups > Ban Control > Ban an IP Address. It would save you the trouble of having to check all IP addresses before you approve them.

True that, but he has to be able to see or know the IP before he can block/ban it

As Kirk says, you will only be able to see this once they log on or post. Quite annoying really.
