Solved Alignment Issues + Run-on Issues II

Post by ℋunni on October 1st 2011, 8:18 am

Site: http://paperthin-hymn.nstars.org/
Running: Invision

Question!
I'm
not sure why, but I need a code that will prevent the sentences inside
the boxes from running on 'til the end of the Announcement Box. When I
first put up it code, it was working fine because I had placed the
"width: 202px;" inside. Now the sentence is running on D:
Also, for the "headers", I'd like for them to be parallel to each other
(Weather Bar next to Announcements Bar next to Staff Bar)!

Setting the fixed width will do the trick.
It will keep the text wrapped.

To align them, you might have stick float: left on them all.

How do I go about setting a "fixed width" for all of it? Because the
thing is, the fixed width in the center differs from the fixed width of
the left and right box.

Edit: I tried the float trick on them, and nothing :\ They're still right where they are.

Edit 2: I also tried placing a div tag of vertical-align:middle; around the green bar and still no dice.

Edit 3:
So I asked a friend of mine to help me and she got me to code
everything just how I want it. All I want to know now is how to make the
Announcement accept fixed width and justified text-aligned, whether it
be adding HTML to the Announcement or adding to the CSS (:

Hi,

Can you post the codes you are using to display the boxes? I'll tell you what to change in it then.

The code looks fine to me. May be, try reducing the widths of the columns little bit.
