Solved Logo Adjustment Help!

Post by ForumPotion on October 13th 2011, 8:59 am

My URL: Here

My issue: I would like to position my logo (which is a circular one, shown Here)
In the "circular" part of the upper left corner. I am planning on making the logo smaller to fit perfectly within the theme.

Anyways, is there an HTML code I could use to define the position I would like the logo to be in (i.e., Go into my CSS (I'm using invision) and then find the logo area and add an HTML #div in which I can define a certain position for the logo)...

Basically, I'm wondering if I can do this: Here, with my logo somehow by editing my CSS...

Thanks.

Have you tried this:

Administration Panel>>Display>>Homepage>>Headers & Navigation

Logo positioning : [] Left [] Center [] Right

Hi,

You can try adding this code in your CSS...

Code:
#logostrip {
position: relative;
} a#logo {
position: absolute;
top: 100px;
left: 100px;
}

You can change the top: 100px and left: 100px to change position.

Thanks, that worked perfectly, just one more issue... The nav bar disappears when I use that code, but I have the logo positioned right... View it Here. How can I fix this... While still retaining my logo position?!

To fix that bug, please remove the previous code and try this new one...

Code:
a#logo {
top: 50%; left: 50%;
margin-top: -400px !important;
margin-left: -535px !important;
}

To adjust the logo position, you can edit the margin-top and margin-left properties.

Thanks for your code, ankillen, but when I try to move the logo adjusting to "top" margin, it just extends the top of my page, making the forum appear lower, and the background appear higher, yet, with my logo still in the same place...

*SOLVED*! You were right the first time, ankillen, except, I modified your code slightly to this:

Code:

a#logo {
position: absolute;
top: -70px;
left: -70px;
}

And now my logo is positioned correctly! And the nav bar is fine, thanks for your help.
