In progress Group Effects/etc...

Post by MinatoRain on October 13th 2011, 11:28 pm

I followed this tutorial; http://help.forumotion.com/t96136-group-s-style-on-legend-glitter-icon-glow and http://help.forumotion.com/t90311-how-to-add-an-icon-before-username which works. But I was wondering if there is any possible way to put it into the groups itself instead of having to manually put CSS codes for each user.

Sorry if this is in the wrong section.

If you don't understand I'll try to explain more.

If need forum url, please say so.

Well, if forumotion was able to put more codes into the color for the group. Instead of having 7 character letters (ex: #000000), you can put like;

"#000000; background-image: url(<image url>);"

Or

"#000000; background: url(<image url>);"

I tested on a different forum system, and it works. But forumotion doesn't work with it.

I'm still lost. You can't enter 7 characters.

#000000 - # counts as a character.

I know what your saying Neutral

What he is saying is Can he add the Glow to the group and when he adds a member to that group that member gets a glowing name with out having to go in the ACP and add the code in the Css files Rolling Eyes

Abit like this:
Admin add's the code in the CSS >>
Code:
a[href="/g387-forumotion-administrators"] {
    text-shadow: 0px 2px 6px #f5a911;
}
This then becomes this in your forum >>

Now to get the members in that group to also glow in that way you have to go back in the SCC and add this code >>
Code:
a[href="/u1"] {
    text-decoration: none !important;
    text-shadow:  0 0 0.2em white, 0 0 0.2em white, 0 0 0.2em white;
}

each member has to be added in the CSS

What the member wants is to have it as soon as you add them to that set group they get the glow name without having to go in the SCC and add them one by one....

Right now im sorry but i don't think this can be done without going the long way around it like this says

Sorry
