I vote yes.

A good feature ^^

And for those who don't want to allow HTML but want to use iframe or other it could be handy.

I voted yes. It would be a nice feature. The problem with html is that even if the admin enables html, the html you post will appear as code to any member who didn't go in and turn on html.

I am working on custom BB.
can someone show me some examples of customBB... what do you want to do with it?

Already via Template editing I am able to install new fonts on my forum, and add a load more colors and font sizes.

I also added moderation text... a special box that has vital info for staff.
I just need to learn how to hide it from members.

Other than that some custom BB can be created via template editing.
Oh and watch out for a more colors and fonts tutorial comming from my side. phpbb2 and punBB only

I would like to see something like:

[user=Jalokim] or [user=Jalokim /] => Jalokim
[user=ddwl] or [user=ddwl /]=> ddwl

ie. for usernames to have color when using a certain bbcode.

ddwl
there is only one problem with that BBcode. I am unable to identify the rank of a member. I think it needs access to the mySQl data to retrieve the authority level of the member.

But its actually a good idea.

But I had something similar on my forum.
I had a special code that automatically added bold and desired color to your post.
you selected your moderation can and you got the results.

I made screens for typlo somewhere...

oh here are screens of the color block on.. testja... eh tealeaf

and here are other screens of bbcode:

That would obviously be a problem.

I see what you are doing, and that would work, but seems like too much work.

I voted Yes, I think it would be a wonderful idea. I mean, I'm happy with what my forum has but I remember seeing another BBcode Forumotion didn't have.

I'm yhe admin of a PHPBB Forum, which has Custom BBCodes, and this is a screenshot of the BBCode editting page:
http://i30.tinypic.com/11vgowk.jpg

So, you put {TEXT} where you want to write. IE. if you were making a BBCode for Bold, you'd put in the first box {TEXT}, and in the second box <b>{TEXT}</b> Get it?

In regards to the group thing, maybe just make a check list thing, with every group down the page as a list, and you check yes or no, for availability.

Good luck...i'm SOOO glad you're working on this Very Happy:D

Reason i want this is so that I can make a code, so that when people type a user, and the code it creates a link and redirects to my site member lists.
I voted yes!

I don't know if this is the right section, but I run a Guild Wars forums using forumotion. Our problem is that the GWBBCode is not updated with forumotion. There have been a couple of major updates from Guild Wars/Arena Net and forumotion is not keeping up with the skill changes and descriptions.

Will this take place in the near future?

This template/build shows the descriptions of skills before the June 2009 skill updates made by Guild Wars/Arena-Net. In other words, the above skill descriptions are obsolete.

When describing skills to my members, it is imperative that I be accurate. I have seen other forums for Guild Wars that have updated their GWBBCode. I just wanted to know when forumotion might be updating this, please.

It's not related to this thread Wink

And the gwcode is unnoficial and was not added by the current technicians but it will possibly be updated.

Cordially.

I voted yes, but why hasn't this been implemented yet? I would think it would be like top priority... And if it does get implemented, I wonder if it would be possible to change the images for the buttons above your post box (B I, etc.).

Why? The B and I are worldwide, recognized buttons and so it would be not beneficial to Forumotion users.
