How Do You Send A Newsletter Via Private Message?
Hello all!
I want to send all of my users a newsletter via Private Messaging, but I can't figure out how! Would someone please explain it to me? Thanks in advance!

Wouldn't it work the same if you just sent a regular PM to the Usergroup 'Members' or whatever the regular members group is called? I've been able to send PM's to 9 people at a time (Including myself lol) that way using the Admin Usergroup, so if you do it for the regular members group you should get it sent to everyone on your site, including yourself.

You want to send a news letter to all members emails right.
It's different then sending a mass pm to a group.
For sending a news letter to all members email you go to.
Admin panel>general>news letter>write and send,
then be sure to type your letter in the box for what ever method you use.

To your members PM then.
the only way would be to have all members in a group and mass pm it to one group at a time.
Go to your pm>new topic
You will see at the top you can select members or select a whole group.
So you will have to send the PM to a group at a time, or you will have to add individual members to the list one at a time. like you add one name, the hit the small plus icon to add another and so fourth.
This is another reason why it's always a good idea to have all members in a members group, this is the only way you are able to send Mass Pm

Re: How Do You Send A Newsletter Via Private Message?
Okay..thanks! Is there perhaps a way that I can make all new users automatically join when the sign up so that I don't have to do it manually?
Re: How Do You Send A Newsletter Via Private Message?
Create the group in such a way that users require 0 posts to be moved to that group. That would avoid making us to manually add the users.
Re: How Do You Send A Newsletter Via Private Message?
yeah name the group (members)
i didn't know you can have the group post number set to zero, i thought it had to be set to at least 1 post, so that will make things easier, once you create the group and set the post count and hit save, all your members should automatically be placed in the group.
As far as your members placed in other groups, they will be placed in the members group as well, but dose not matter you can have members in more then one group.
the only time it would be a problem is if? lets say you had a vip group, but now all the vip are showing up as being in the members group and no longer vip.
Then that would mean you have to fix your group order, then they will still be in both groups but show in the proper one you want them to.. or you can always just make the members group hidden or do not show a color.
But we can burn that bridge if and when you encounter it.. lol
