Combining sites
Hey is the anyway to join two sites together? I want to have a inter school contest between Hogwarts (http://hogwartsregenerated.forumotion.co.uk/) and Durmstrang (http://durmstrangreloaded.forumotion.co.uk/)
I want the people on each site to be able to post in one place without having to sign up for each site just so they can post together for a short time. Is this even possible?
Thanks

Re: Combining sites
What you described is not possible, however...
You coud put the link to the other forum in the navigation bar, so it'll just be another button

Re: Combining sites
if both sites are yours,or with the permission of the other site founder, just create another nav button / link(perhaps title it "Affiliate". your choice)
ACP>DISPLAY>HEADERS AND NAVIGATION>NAV LINKS>CLICK ON "ADD CUSTOM MENU">The REDIRECTION url will be the link to the other site .The "Picture" is for the nav button image, code.
If you set permissions so viewers don't have to register, then mission accomplished.
Hope this helps

Re: Combining sites
Erm... Why not set up a chatbox on one page and link both forums to it?

Re: Combining sites
Yes, add the navigation button in the header that links to another forum, have it for a couple of days so guests can see and post in the topics, you can do this in the categories and forums permissions. Then just tell the guests the put their username and school at the beginning of their messages.

Re: Combining sites
It's effective.
Thanks to WHITESABBATH.

Suggestion to the Topic Creator:
Why not make separate categories for the two sites in a forum so that they can both post without registering again?
