Solved HTML weird :/

Post by ants2795 Tue Oct 25 2011, 20:37

I made a HTML page for my member stats of my site. Then I saved and tested it. No errors.
I copy the HTML I created from Notepad++ and added a new HTML page from 'HTML pages management' when I previewed it; it was just the HTML code. bwi

Image of situation:
HTML weird :/ Hmmb

I tried removing '<title>The Führer's member stats</title>' but it stayed the same.

Also Javascripts just don't work...

EDIT:
Characters - 2,569
Longest collum - 138
Words - 137
Lines - 57

The page is here.

The preview function and the HTML editors in the Admin Control Panel are broken. When you previewed the page, it was converted to an unusable format.

If you saved the file in Notepad++, skip step (1), load the file into Notepad++, and go to step (2).

1) If you want to salvage your page, go to http://thefuhrers.pro-forum.co.uk/h1-member-stats and copy the contents, then paste the contents into Notepad++. Note: do NOT use "view source", copy what's on the screen!

2) Then create a new HTML page and paste the contents from Notepad++ into it.

DO NOT PREVIEW THE PAGE.
DO NOT USE THE HTML EDITOR.

Once you save the page, it will display properly.

Tried both. On and off.

If you turned on the HTML editor, you broke the page again...it must be PERMANENTLY off, and you can NEVER use the HTML page preview. Note that all HTML editors in the ACP are broken, so don't use any of them...

I really wish both "anti-features" would be removed from the ACP so this problem would not happen to people.
