Solved Link colour

Post by Redspooks on October 24th 2011, 8:35 pm

When someone posts a link in a post, it shows up the same colour as the main text colour. It changes colour when the mouse hovers over it.

I want to change all url links to a different colour so it appears a different colour in the block of text.

I have searched for a solution but it I must have my dumb blonde wig on...

Many thanks

Hi It seems that you are having problems changing URL links,

Follow this step-by-step guide,

Go to Administration panel > Display > Pictures & Colors Click colors and from their you will see a whole bunch of choices such as, Colors and text sizes.
and then click Hover link color Or active link color Smile

Hi thanks for that, I already have done that but the url in the post still shows as black like the post text. If the mouse hovers it changes colour but although I have changed colours, it still wont make the active link a different colour

Colors and text size
Text Color : #000000
.Link Color : #000000
.Visited Link Color : #000000
.Active Link Color : #390B75
.Hover Link Color : #D41141

Add this to your css.

Code:
a:link {
    color: #000000;
}
a:visited {
    color: #000000;
}
a:hover {
    color: #D41141;
}
a:active {
    color: #390B75;
}

.content {
    color: #000000;
}

Unfortunately it doesn't work.

Am I allowed to do a screen print of it to show you?

I have also noticed another anomaly... underneath the colours for links and hover is:-

Quote Font Color : #390B75 [this works correctly]
.Administrator Font Color : #AA0000 - red [shows as blue on forum]
.Moderator Font Color : #00AA00 - shows as green
.Forum title color :#FFFFFF [this works correctly]
.Color of the columns header : #FFFFFF [this works correctly]

If I do a quote which includes a link as a reply, the quote is coloured but the url link is not.

Below is screenshot...

You can see I have posted a link in a post, it remains black same as block of text colour.

If I quote that reply containing the url link, the quoted colour changes to purple [correctly] but not the link... it remains black.

I have posted the direct link too and as you can see that appears in another colour [turquoise]
