Hello,
If you don't see the icon your browser might now support it.

Re: WYSIWYG on Mac?
Hello,
Are you Google Chrome by any chance?
If so, Chrome doesn't currently support HTML5 coding standards - which is what makes the WYSIWYG Mode possible. I would recomend upgrading to FireFox, to combat the issue.
If you are on any other browser, it should be supported - even by Mac's default browser - Safari.

Re: WYSIWYG on Mac?
Post edited.
Ive just downloaded Safari on my Windows 7 laptop, and Ive also came across the same issue.
It appears to be an issue of Safari themselves - an issue with the latest version of safari.
You will have to make contact with Safari support to see if there is a fix on the way. I'm sorry.

Re: WYSIWYG on Mac?
I'm a Mac user and WYSIWYG hasn't ever worked for me using Safari. Your options are to become comfortable with the HTML (or whatever it is) coding and use the preview button to double check yourself, or switch over to Firefox. FWIW, I recommend DL'ing Firefox and having it as a backup anyway, there are quite a few websites that still aren't Safari compatible.
