Post by Tripic on October 29th 2011, 5:35 pm

I would like to add some stuff to website that will take some php coding but as i don't see anywhere to upload files or anyway to see what the database looks like i cant do it on here the site has around 400 users and i really don't want to make everyone start again but i want to add some simple database queries to the site

Sorry, you cant download a backup to your hard disk, but you can access to backup system for restore your forum if you have been hacked, or you accidentally deleted something or whatever...

Forumotion doesn't have php or MySQL... If you were going to convert your forum it isn't possible.

Neither PHP nor MySQL is available for you to use on forumotion, or on any free forum host for that matter. If you want to do the "fruity" things you've described, then I suggest you look into paid hosting.

(Note, some "free" forum hosts offer PHP, but it's a premium option that is the equivalent price and feature-wise to paid hosting.)

PHP commands are not supported on forumotion, not even server-side includes. The closest to PHP you will get is the ability to use some defined PHP constants. Sorry...

The data could be scraped from the site with a browser script, stored in Local-Storage and then retrieved... Too bad they don't just offer a download button. That's why I consider my forum temporary Very Happy
