In progress Changing email address

Post by RAFAJulie on October 31st 2011, 3:49 pm

Please move if posted in the wrong section.

Can you please give instructions of how members can change their own email addresses on the forum?

Hello,

If you are getting an invalid message you won't be able to use it. There are some emails that are blocked such as info@ admin@ Spam@

It might have something to do with the recent security update. http://help.forumotion.com/t97434-optimising-security-of-personal-data-on-forumotion-forums

The reason why were nnot qute grasping the situation is because it's working for us.

If this is exactly what is happening, I will be able to give u a few suggestions.

Access users' account on the Admin panel > Look at current email box - will have for example, name@hotmail.com > when u select the box, it disappears > you type a new email in hit save and go back to the profile.

If this is the situation;
Please clear the cache & cookies of your browser
Recheck - Im sure this won't change anything however, having a clear cache is good because some data may have changed and the cookie didnt get the full change.
Resync you forum to the DataBase. Admin panel >> general > Forum/config > Misc options* > Tick the box near the resync & save.
Now please re-try, and inform us of the results.
