Posts are blank!

All the posts made to my forum between 3 to 5 o'clock or 4 to 6 (i don't know) are missing.
Missing is not the correct word. The posts of members appear in the thread, but their content is missing! They are blank!

What happend?

Edit:New data: The problem hit all the posts from 30/10/2011 until today afternoon!

Did any other admin do a backup?

I am the only admin.
No one did a backup.
It is set as:


Automatic daily forum backup : [ Active ]

and i never touched it. It is set like this for ever. I just let do its work.

I tried this afternoon (after i found out that the content of the posts was missing) to resynchronize the forum (just in case) but nothing happend.

Another thing...

In the posts i'm mentioning above, i tried to edit some of them, and to rewrite some posts. Turns out i can't do that either.
After editing them and press the send button the result is the same. A blank post.

Can you include your forum address?

Not recently. I think the last CSS addition was months ago. I never had a similar problem.

The thing is that all the posts in all the threads for the last 3 days went blank.
The forum was ok by 12:00-13:00 today and around 15:00 all the posts since october 30th went blank.

To help the admins and moderators with the time difference between our countries, the problem occured about 10 to 12 hours before this post (in case there was a back up issue).

can you open a test forum in your english section for guest to post so i can test a post to see if it happens to me on this end, Other then that all i see is you have your option set for people to register in order to see any post links/images

Off course i can open the English section,but i don't think that this would help you. Every post made after the thing with the blank posts occured is appearing ok. But i will open the English section for quests anyway.The link/photos also. Take a look.

The option for links/photos only for registered users is not something of importance. The problem with the blank posts extents also to the text. I fail to see how this could be a problem because of that option.

i wasn't saying the The option for links/photos only for registered users was a problem. I was merely saying thats all i seen in post over there, meaning i did not see any blank post.

whats the links to the blank post then.. If all new post are working now, then cool. A s far as the post that are still blank. The only thing i can recommend doing is backing your forum up a day before the problem start happening.. But if you do that you will lose any new post.

So your best bet would just to trash the blank post and tell your members to re-post them

So i dont know, post the links to the blank post, but be sure guest have permissions to view and quote the post, because i have to see what content is in them and why it would not be appearing.

May be members are using hide tags or something???

Ok, look at this thread. The images are hidden but you can see what i'm talking about even without them.From the first post until the 9th everything is ok.
Posts 10 to 16 are blank.
From then on everything ok again.

Isn't there a way to back up the content of the posts (since they are already there) without losing the next posts?

I mean the posts are there, only the content is missing.

And is there a way to explain to me what went wrong. What caused this to happend? In order to keep an eye.

i have no way of telling what it can be with out seeing what content is in the blank post. if there is nothing in the post, then thats why it's blank.. lol

when you go to edit or quote the post, what is the content in there. thats what i need to see.

Ha, that's the thing! There is nothing there when i go to edit.

And there is another thing also. Say i'm editing a blank post and i'm rewriting something in it. When i press send the post is blank again! There is nothing i can do.

I 've check in the back up utils and i 've seen that the last back up was at the date that the post started to go blank. October 30th. So even if i want to back them up i can't. Something happened there! Is it possible that someone could hack my code and backed it up so i have lost the posts?Hmmm...

The techs are aware of the issue and have already resolved it, however it appears, they have only resolved the initial issue.

Could you please do a re-sync of your forum
Admin panel >> General > General/config > Misc options* > Resync - tick & 'save'. see if anything changes. If not, we will have to hear from The Godfather, our contact with the Techs - well, he is sort of one too
To assure you, the techs are working beyond normal work hours, to correct this by the looks of the referenced thread.

I re-synced and the problem remains.Nothing has changed.

It's good to know that i'm not the first or the only one that this thing has happend to!

Since you have fixxed it once i'm sure you could do it again!

According to the same thread, it appears that the issue has now been patched.

You will need to do another re-sync.

If noting is recovered, unfortunately, it seems that it wont be possible to recover it. Again, if you wish, you may refer to page 3 of the listed thread above.

If you wish, we can wait until The Godfather pops in to clarify the position of the issue.

No, re-sync does absolutely nothing.I mean the last 3 days are gone...
And now another problem occured. Members post photos (through photobucket, tinypic, imageshack) that are not appearing in the posts.

Only a broken photo link is shown

That happens to some of the members and some of the posts. Some members see the photos, some not. Other members see the photos in some threads and other members on other threads.
Those who don't see the photos get a broken photo link instead.

What's going on?
