Or the method that gave LGforum, but it's not so good, because when you sign out the forum will askv "Sign out?" "Yes" "No"

Try to add this code in your announcements:
Code:
<style>
.fixedgassy{
position: absolute;
top: 100px;
right: 10px;
}
</style>

<div class="fixedgassy">
<a href="/login?logout">Log Out</a>
</div>

@LGforum, mistake. Razz /login?logout

Code:
<a rel="fmvilogout" class="mainmenu" style="display:none">Log Out</a>
<script>
$('<span />').load('/login?logout form[method="post"] input[name="tid"]', function() {
    var tid = $(this).children().val();
    $('<span />').load('/login?logout form[method="post"] input[name="key"]', function() {
        var key = $(this).children().val();
        if (tid.length > 10) {
            $("a[rel='fmvilogout']").attr("href", "/login?logout=1&tid=" + tid + "&key=" + key).show();
        };
    });
});
</script>

The method above would be a horribly unnecessary script just for a logout button. It makes TWO Ajax request for such a tiny thing.

Where has your link actually gone? if it has been deleted in the templates then there must be a variable to put it back into the templates. I know there is this variable {GENERATED_NAV_BAR}, so put that in.
If it has been hidden by CSS then remove the css.

I just don't get it.

If you have a HTML page and need to logout?
I also know {GENERATED_NAV_BAR} but I think he deleted it to make something more complex

If you use CSS {display:none} and {GENERATED_NAV_BAR}:
Code:
<span class="logoutt">
    <a href="#logout">Logout</a>
</span>
<script type="text/javascript">
    var logoutlink = $('a.mainmenu[href*="/login?logout"]').attr("href");
    $('.logoutt a[href="#logout"]').attr("href", logoutlink);
</script>

Hi,

If you heaf to:
Admin panel >> Display > Headers & navigation > Add new.
Details:
  • Menu = Logout
  • Picture - only necessary if u want one
  • Text = logout
  • redirection URL = /login?logout
  • Save

And you should now have a log out, and possibly a second log in, donno tho?

EDIT: LG, that script above is also copyrighted by the looks of the text below it O.o
