I started a different forum in 2007 and liked it. As time went on, there were a lot of problems that just seemed to get worse. Then, the poll option was taken away from all forums and things just kept getting worse. I have been searching for a forum for over a year. I wanted one that offered a fair amount of options, a little more control for founders and this is the one that even all members seem to really like. I was looking and checked this one out. It was exactly what I had been telling others I was looking for!

Yes, it does:

That was back in 2004 when I discovered the French www.forumactif.com , searching for a free forum host (or hébergeur de forums gratuits"), then, not needing support forums, I did not dwel on their forum too much...

Anyway, I discovered the french support forum 2 years later searching for aid for the the forums I was moderating at the time, because 1 of them, over the summer of that year, was harassed by several spammers. I rediscovered that support forum 2 years later for similar reasons ("entraide de forums") for aid in other forums including the one that got spammed back in the summer of 2006...

It was just last year that I discovered this support forum help.forumotion.com , which I have mostly visited without posting (until recently). (During the same year I also discovered the Netherlands support forum)

In short, my journey in the forumotion from the start (until now) was close to 6 years!

Well, me it's been 6 yrs.
A darn long time for some standpoints.

No regrets, just good times, and learning + gain of experience !

I found it through a list of forum directories with rankings, reviews and all that. It was during the time I was hunting for the right forum host. I don't really remember that site but that's how I found Forumotion. Smile

I found Forumotion searching for a forum builder. I did not have a lot of knowledge about building a site from scratch and feeding the phpBB forum or Invision code in to the site. So, it helped to be able to build, and the ability to buy a domain, and still have hosting by Forumotion.

Now, my forum looks very excellent, and I have a reasonable amount of traffic daily (1200-1300), so I am not complaining.

It would probably be harder if I created the site for my own.

That's exactly why I came to this site 6 yrs ago in search for an all assembled forum builder site.

If I remember correctly, I looked up free forums on google because I wanted to create one of my own after seeing a few really popular ones. Forumotion was the first thing that popped up and within ten minutes I had already signed up. ^^

I learned via a gaming buddy who was using forumotion for his clan.. I found forumotion, along with the army camo theme, to be the perfect match for my clan of 200+ members.. I of course in return , have spread the good word to others to use forumotion. salut
