Adding a Daily Crossword Game

Hi I've created a Java Script for boatloadofpuzzles, and have posted the code onto a sub Forum suitably named..
It works on there but I need to click on the link to make the Puzzle appear...
Is there a code to add to enable the Puzzle to appear without all the extra info..here is the code I've entered...

I just stuck this code into a widget and put it on the "Portal" page. It shows straight away there. I dragged it to the bigger central column of the Portal.

I have created the widget, but everything is showing on the homepage including the Crossword, so I've done something wrong here...Sorry but this is my first time at trying this...What do I do next please...

I'm on Invision Criss but this is what I did:

AP>Modules>Forum Widgets Management>Create a widget...
(I have "Display forum widgets" set to "No" here)
Fill in form like this, and paste code into HTML box, click on "Save"

Click on AP>Modules>Portal management. Scroll down to "Portal pages list" and click on "Structure". Scroll down to "Portal", "personal widgets" tab. Look for the "Daily Crossword" widget, then drag it to the position you want and "Save".

It may be different on phpBB2.

Hiya...I've got so far with it...and on Portal preview I can see the Crossword...but not on Forum preview,but this is what I get after clicking on Personal Widgets...

Addition of existing Widgets

Location
Rights

and Under that

Addition/Deletion of personal widgets which is where the Crossword name is...but it won't let me drag and drop anywhere....

Sorry, I'm getting there, slowly....but I'm stuck, and I've gone over all what you've told me to do...

On "Addition/Deletion of personal widgets", click on the dropdown menu at "Widgets"
For "Widget" click on "Daily Crossword"
For "Location" click on "Column 2" (It's widest)
For "Rights" tick everything from Admin to guests. then click "Add the widget".
Scroll back up to "Personal Widgets" tab and go in and drag from there to your middle column.(The widest one)

Make sure you have "Display forum widgets" set to "No" in Forum widgets management or it will show in homepage as well as Portal.

Edit: This will only display in the Portal Criss.

When I click and drag into the middle column, no matter what, it drops straight back to where it came from, is there something I'm not getting, the other thing I noticed is that Crossword was missing the r in the word though it appears correct everywhere else...

I don't know why it isn't dragging and "staying" Criss. I don't know if the AP panel is different in phpBB2 to Invision PB. All I know is it works in Invision. Here's what it looks like at the bottom of my Portal...

Hiya, I really appreciate your time and effort, and yes that's just how it should look...I can't think what to do next, and tbh I feel quite tired trying to figure it out...I'm wondering whether to take it all out, and start again tomorrow...maybe I've slipped up somewhere.......

Hiya, so far so good, I've managed to drag and drop....and my preview of the Portal shows the crossword at the bottom...but nothing on the Forum...
Originally I had the box checked for sub forum and Portal, in the Javascript, I've been back in and checked the box for the Forum and Portal, should I uncheck the Portal, or is there something else I should be doing....many thanks

Hiya Criss, try going in to AP>Modules>Forum Widgets Management>Display Forum Widgets. Set to "YES", see if that makes a difference. (I have mine set to "NO" as I only want to see the widgets in the Portal.)

Hiya....I've tried that as you suggested, but no difference...I can't think of anything else, other than to keep playing with it...and maybe we'll get somewhere eventually... but I quite like it showing at the bottom of the Portal, and the way the Portal is set up for my board in general, you can see everything at a glance...is there any reason why I couldn't leave the board like that...
It sure would made things easier....
Just a ps to this, I've got a Daily Crossword icon turned up next to the Home button on the Nav bar, if I make Button for it, where would I add it...in Admin, there isn't a slot for it !!!

Hi Loneranger,
Don't know if you saw the above post....I'm going to leave the Crossword as it is, it's grown on me & the members seem to like it there...

It's just the icon that's appeared next to the Home button on the Nav Bar...I'm happy with it, and will make a Button for it, but I can't see a section to add it to, either in Buttons or the general/explore...could you help please...

AP>Display>Homepage>Headers and Navbar scroll down to "Nav Links" and click on "Add a customised menu". Call it Crossword, add your direct link (image) to your button in "Picture" and add the crossword URL to "Re-direction URL". Tick rights for everyone, Save, and you should be good to go.
