Re: photobucket error
If you are using Jalokim's themes please read this:
This is a message to all forumotion users that have installed any Jalokim themes from hitskin that use the photobucket server.
As of the 8th of August , I will be closing the premium status of the account.
I will no longer be paying for the bandwidth of the images.
I recommend rehosting all the images in your CSS file. Instructions as to how to do this is found in the post below. Please rehost all the images or they will be lost after the 8th of August.
I thank all for using my themes, but seeing as I'm not directly a part of forumotion, nor do I create themes for hitskin anymore, there is no need to pay the bandwidth each month.
regards Jalokim

1. Open your CSS Sheet
2. Find all the PhotoBucket links (Make sure they are the direct links, starting with "http://" and ending with ".png or .gif")
3. Create or use a VERY EMPTY/Lightly used PhotoBucket account
4. Upload all the PhotoBucket links in the CSS Sheet to your PB acount
5. Replace all the PhotoBucket links with your own links from your profile
6. Save the CSS sheet.
7. Copy the url image http:// to browser
Save Image As then Upload to photo bucket
The problem with the thing, (I guess) is that once you go over too much space in your PhotoBucket account, all your images are still there, but they get replaced by the bandwidth thing. Because all of Jalokim's images are still there, but PhotoBucket's just changed what they look like because of his bandwidth problem.
Try that and it should work.

Still need help
That looks easy but I am not able to understand your answer.
3. Create or use a VERY EMPTY/Lightly used PhotoBucket account
- Where does this happen? at photobucket or in this ccs some where?
4. Upload all the PhotoBucket links in the CSS Sheet to your PB acount
- how?
5. Replace all the PhotoBucket links with your own links from your profile
-not sure what this means.
Last question - if you updaye to the PRO does that also solve the problem?
Thanks for your help - I do not understand much other than WYSIWUG as far as code goes

Re: photobucket error
3. Create a photobucket account at photobucket.
4. On photobucket, upload the links.
5. Instead of using the links on the CSS, use the links that have been made on your PB profile.

Re: photobucket error
First of all you need a photobucket account.
Then from your forum you go to the Administration panel -> click Display in the top menu -> click Colors in the left menu -> click CSS Stylesheet
Now you see a long scrolling page with codes or whatever. In that sheet you need to find the photobucket links (url). An easy way to to that is to click ctrl+f. Then you type in photobucket in the search field, and your photobucket links will get marked. You can browse through the photobucket links by pressing on the arrows next to the search field (it depends on you internet browser how the search box "menu" looks like).
click picture for larger view
You need to copy these links into photobucket. Make sure that you do that in the correct order, so that you when you replace these links with new ones, you paste them into the correct place.
So, how do you do that? Open wordpad or whatever and copy and paste all the photobucket links from your CSS Stylesheet in correct order. The first link first, then the second one, and so on. Make sure
that when you copy the links, you get the whole link with you; they start with http:// and end with .png or .gif.
Then you go to your Photobucket -> click More upload tools -> choose From the web
click picture for larger view
Then from here you paste your photobucket links from the forum CSS Stylesheet and upload the images.
Start with the first link first, then the second one, and so on. When the images has been uploaded into photobucket, click Recent uploads in the menu and from there you can see your uploaded pictures.
It shows the pictures in the order recent uploaded, the first picture you see is the one you will have to paste into the CSS sheet last. Still with me? Find the first picture you uploaded, Click Share -> Get link code -> and copy the link that's under the Direct link for layout pages headline.
click picture for larger view
Then you go back to your CSS Stylesheet in the Administration panel of your forum, and replace this new link with the first photobucket link in your sheet. Then you do the same thing with the other images. Get the code form photobucket, and replace and paste them in the right place and order in the CSS Stylesheet.
I hope that my English is good enough for you to understand this!

Re: photobucket error
It was considerate of you to take the time to write such a detailed procedure. Nicely done, Nikoline.
Re: photobucket error
There is only one photobucket link in the CSS stylesheet for my forum, I have replaced it and still have the problem. Do I have to change ALL the graphics?
I am not using photobucket, because the error put me off using it. I am using imageshack.
The issue seems to effect some people on and off - photobucket is nowhere near my forum (except for various pictures posted by users).

Re: photobucket error
Why not just use imageshack? It's easy and you don't get these error images coming up.

Is there anyway to get the images for floral effects now. Since this has happend so many times, and resolved within a couple of days, I didn't bother to come post. Now I see that the deadline is passed.
Do I have any options besides replacing the skin. Thanks for any help!
