Groups and Ranks Connected Option.

I want my members to switch groups automatically according to ranks- You can make it maybe as a check box option on admin panel- I want all the new members to be on this rank and be in this group by default to see only this forums, etc. then as rank goes up, he will auto move up to another group, and more access-

Basically, so groups are like steps and the mods and admins dont have to check all the time for each rank goes up and move each person to another group, manually.

Nice idea, would save a lot of fustration with very large groups. For now you can promote your most active member to "Group"moderator and give her/him the job of adding/removing members from group to group.

that is really good idea...its will be easy to control the user...we also have a special rank and we can automaticly relate with the group we want to.

So would it be possible to do so in the admin panel? When I have a few more members, then I'll really need the option, so i won't have too many moderators to hire to move around the users.

but you would have to somehow link them with the same thing. Cause like wat if u have diff ranks and group names. there would have to be some way to choose wat links to wat.

That's what I'm saying- basically- on group creation, you can say what rank to link to- and it cabn have a copied list from ranks- something like that.

When you reach specific post count, you can be switch automatically to another group, as well.

I agree. What should happen is:

When you create a usergroup, you can (But don't have too) Add a rank with it. SO when any user joins the group, they automaticly get the rank?

I think it's a great idea. Manually moving members up to new usergroups according to rank can be confusing and tedious sometimes.

bulldogcrazy98, how is it a bad idea- to get rid of confusion- I mean that in rank administration there will just be rank permissions- same like groups, like this rank can automatically post in these forums, etc. Its easier then moving members manually to groups, and getting complaints of being denied from joining the highest ranked group, etc.
