Do you want a link to view "today's posts in a 24 hour period?
The ability to view "today's posts" listing as a guest or member
Hello everyone,
I think a feature/link where you can view "today's posts" either as a guest or member would be great. VBulletin software uses this and it's much easier to see a listing of all the current postings in all forums. The "view posts since last visit" here is good too, but it's not as effective. Also, it clears when you re-log back in. It would be much better to have a link that will display all the posts in a 24 hour period and that doesn't clear after you read them.

Hi everyone,
I'm bumping this up because I feel it would be a good update to have with our forums. I'm used to VBulletin's software and so are many of my members. Me, my members and those familiar with Invision forum software are all used to having a link to recent posts so I would appreciate any input and your vote to help make this happen.

Hi Everyone,
Thanks to all who voted, "Yes"...much appreciated. I'm wondering, does anyone know the URL link that would be associated with the "Last Topics" scrolling feature that we can have on our portals? If I could find the URL link to this, then I could probably add this to my navigation menu and this might work similarly to what I've proposed.
Thanks again everyone!

GREAT NEWS!!!!!!!!!!
Hello everyone,
I am a newbie here but I've managed to figure out a way to have a link to viewing a listing of "Today's Posts" or posts made within a 24 hour period on our forums! This listing can be viewed by guests and members alike. I don't have the ability to edit my CSS to put a really professional link on my forum, but I put a link to "Today's Posts" in my forum Welcome Message.
When you do an advanced search on your forum, leave "search for keywords" blank, and leave "search for any terms" ticked. Under "search by author", put an * (asterik) there. Under "Search Options", leave "search in"...as it is. Under "search previous", open the drop down menu and select "1 day". Under "display as", select "posts". Under "sort by", select "post time". Now click "search". You will get a list of the current postings so now copy that URL link and insert it into your CSS or as a regular link where you can.
Here is a screen capture showing what I'm talking about and I hope this helps everyone because I'm THRILLED! :wééé:

Yay Brad38!!!
I am trying to add the "Todays Posts" to my forum into the nav bar, but the link is too long. How can I fix this, or enter it elsewhere?

Please tell us exactly what you did to add it to your forum.
Thanks!

OK, I just did it myself! It is great!
However, it does not show the unread posts. It shows ALL posts of the last 24hours...

I would surely consider Vbulletin software. It's a program that you download and install on your website.
Here is the definition of what Vbulletin is on Wikipedia:
