Help needed guyz
Hello dear friendz,
I have started a forum few days ago. It is : [url=bdarena.forumattivo.eu]click it[/url] and it is based on phpbb3 technology.
I am facing some problems which I could not solve. For this reason I have come to your door seeking help. I have more than one problem, so I am going to put them in list.
1. Default font size for all the members are too small. Every time any member of the forum is trying to write something, he/she has to change it in the quick/reply box menu by putting the BBcode for size. Is there any option to fix it like VB in user's profile.
What I meant is, say I have chosen comic sans, font size 18 and color green. Another user give choice of Algerian, font size 20 and color blue. Every user can give their choice. If not, is it possible to change at least the font size for everyone to bigger one?
2. This is vital problem IMHO. I did not find any post number any where. Consider the post I am going to post here. It should be post number 1 of this respective thread. Say I am posting 27 posts one after another in any thread. Then the numbers should be at any side of the posts i.e top-down-left-right. How can any one know how many posts are there in any thread? It only shows page number in the right corner of any page of top and down corner.
Please give feedback about it as we, all the members are really very very worried.
3. So far I have understood the flood control criteria is only for the general members, not for the Staff members with the moderation power. Can I create any special group like VIP Members or some thing like that which can invoke this flood control? Of course without giving moderation power to the group.
Is it possible to change the time limit of flood control from 10 seconds to 5 seconds?
4. Is it possible to add more options in the quick reply box?
5. I have already created several user groups according to post count. But every group is showing in the legend list below the forum home page. What I want, the groups will be as usual but in legend only the staff members and VIP members will show. Is it possible?

I'm afraid I don't know how to put the post numbers in but in the meantime your members can just view the number of replies of the thread and add 1 to include the original post to find the total number of posts in any given thread; so for example if there are 5 replies then there will be 6 posts in total.

Thx chococherry bro for your kind feedback. But I am sorry to say that it is quite normal matter to get the total number of posts of any thread. Lemme put the question more easier. Say i want to find the 58th post of any thread. I have to go to the 6th page and I must start counting. 1....2.....3......4....5.....6....7.....8. Oh this is the post I'm searching!!! I've got it!!!! Now, my question is, why should I count? Shouldnt there be any number for all the posts? What about this very post I'm giving comment? Where is its number?
I shall give you another example. Say I am posting images. It is quite normal matter I may miss or make some mistakes. Not only these cases, but post number is really a vital matter in Forum.

If you change to Invision, you will have the numbered post. I use the Invision version.

There is a toogle font option on some forums but I don't think anyone has jet made a tutorial for it. You can't change it in profiles. But you can change the font size of the letters in quick replay for all if you want permanently.
Adding this to CSS should do it for phpBB3. Change the 14 to the one you want:

It only shows bigger when i am writing something in the quick reply box, but after posting, it is again the default small one. I dont want only to see bigger font while I'm writing but rather also the effect in my posting. Plz have a look brothers.

Hello,
Its not possible to remove it. The staff still have the flood control, but its only five seconds which was give by Forumotion. You can't change it to lower to 10 seconds, just like the staff.

I am continuing my 5th problem. I have set some user-groups according to the post count and they are 9 in number. All the user-groups are showing or going to show in the legend with the staff user-groups (aka Administrators, Global Moderators, Moderators etc.) which will be a very long list.
What I want is the staff user-groups and VIP members user-groups will remain in the Legend. I know that if I put the normal usergroups as hidden mode then they wont show up in Legend. But the main problem is I have fixed group colors. If I put them as hidden, then the dont show the group colors.
Now, is there a way to maintain the group colors and the user-groups wont show in Legend?
