cannot make html page the home page.

When I try to make any html page - home - it reverts back to the 'forum' page.

It was reverting to a 'random' html page - rather than the one I checked. I removed that page - and now it just goes back - as if I hadn't marked anything.

Can you help?

Try this: Go to Administration Panel => Display => Homepage => Generalities. https://help.forumotion.com/t100241-what-do-you-use-as-homepage See that image to understand.

Okay, when I click on an html page to be the home page, that changes from 'forum index' to 'html page', but the html page I select pops right back to 'use as homepage' - 'no'. And, even though on the 'generalities page' it still says 'html' - the index page remains as before when you reload.

I hope that made some sense. In essence, it will not take any html page as home. And, I am using the forum header.

You first have to select the html page you want as your home page.
when you do that you will see a message come up saying you have to add a forumotion link, or choose a banner to be placed on the html page.

Once you add the link or banner of your choice to the html page, then you go to homepage Generalities and then select html as home page.

You will know you have done it right, when you go back to your html pages list and see it is now highlighted in red

Okay - am I wrong? I thought that if you used the forum header, you didn't need to do that.

So, I tried again and added a link to forumotion. No message box comes up - in 'generalalities' it does show html page, but it doesn't redirect to that page. And, in the page I mark to be home page, it reverts back to 'no'. (As if it is looking for something more, and I did know that I needed a link, but assuming that the footer is enough). I wonder if possibly, because we paid for a couple months of copyright - for the footer - that it didn't reset somehow when our time was up - a thought?

Previously - as I said, I tried this and it redirected to a random page. To clarify, I marked one page to be the home page, but another turned red, and it kept redirecting back to that page. I deleted that page, now it just doesn't work at all.

I don't want to be stubborn, but there is something wrong with it - I think.

I have not, but do intend to make an html home page like this weekend. And, I am hoping that the footer will be enough of a link back.
