In progress Founder role change

Post by Someguy101 December 28th 2011, 1:25 am

My forum is currently experiencing issues regarding the founder. The forum was created by him, however he had agreed to no longer make changes to the forum. We would like to transfer the founder rights to another individual, would we be able to accomplish this? The current rules denote that the founder must be inactive for 6 months and 1 day, however he is still active on the forum and recently made several undesired changes to the forum. We would like to have his founder rights transferred to another account and have his current account removed so that he will no longer have the ability to make changes to the website. Is there a way this could be accomplished if we were to have written consent by him?

Hi,

Would he be willing to do this than?

The rule of six months absence does not apply in this case because it is an agreement between the old and the future founder

►It is necessary that the founder username exchange (in the example by replacing "Team Administration").

►To eliminate all traces of its IP address, it will be necessary to delete all messages he/she posted... On important issues he/she has created for the smooth running of the forum (rules, etc. ...), he must leave till a copy is made and repost before deleted.

►Once the messages are deleted, he/she must change the e-mail on the forum and Founder Tools by replacing the e-mail to the new replacement.

► Finally, it is sufficient to give the password to his/hers new replacement member "Team Management".

We have already done this, he changed the password to one that he gave to me. I opened his account settings and changed the email to my personal email, and changed the password as well. I also changed the username from "Admin" to "Old Admin" I was curious if there was a way for him to recover the account and begin editing the site as founder again.

He could because he would know what the creation email and password are.

The founder would have to give you the log in information for the Utilities so you can change it. Or the founder changes it for you.

I have the founder's username and password, I changed his email, username and password to match my desired settings. Is there anything else I would have to do? Can he still recover his account and make changes to the site? Also what is this founder tool? I only have assess to the administration panel at the bottom of the page. Do I need anything else?
