Quote Nesting Question

when you hit the quote button it still shows the second quote in the message box until you hit send it will remove the quote therefore causing a big space where the red arrows are in the image below. Is there any way to get rid of the space automatically? To look like the second image below without the space. This way the poster doesn't have to do this every time.
