Adding Google AdSense Code

I need help implementing the Google AdSense Code to my forum.

Where do I put the code, and how do I place the ads where I want them on the forum, as well as choose which ads I want?

Thanks. I can put it in widgets for the sides of the homepage/forum pages, as well as anywhere in the portal pages, but there isn't a widget space on the top/bottom for the homepage or forum pages. So what would I use to add a banner to the top/bottom of my homepage and forum pages?

I'm not exp with HTML, though could figure it out if someone explained it to me. Thanks

I think you should put the codes in overall_header template. If your forum version is phpBB3, as in your profile, you can read details from that topic.

for phpbb3 the best place would be your forums announcement.

Admin panel>General>Messages and emails>Announcements

If the ad's are not appearing yet, you have to give them up to 24 hours.
They are sometimes glitchy at first so you may have to contact google.
But they will usually start appearing after 24 hours or so if not right away.
