I notice all my members from hotmail and live do not receive any emails!!
I check the forum (profiles) and the emails have changed ??
The email in the profiles show:
member@hotmail.com.nomail
or
member@live.com.nomail
how come this has changed in the user profile in all the hotmail accounts ?
Did I miss something ?
Please some one to give me a light to this issue.

The problem is in emails. Live & Hotmail aren't recommended! Tell users to try another email, this is the only solution I think...

It's most likely going into spam/trash folders, tell them to put your newsletter email into their trusted senders. That should sort it. PM me if it doesn't!

Hotmail is not recommend for use in anything Forumotion or anything on the web I believe. Hotmail e-mail accounts have a history of easily being hacked, and just by this phrase your members shouldn't consider using Hotmail or Windows Live Mail. I would consider the users to use other email providers such as Gmail, Yahoo Mail or Mail.com.

As far as I know, "nomail" show into the email textarea when you have your email hidden from public.

It seems to be a system variable (wich shouldnt appear in the email textarea)

Yep, but only show (.nomail) on hotmail and Live email accounts !

So, then change to gmail or other

But, as I said before, you shouldnt worry about it, because the problem is just that an invisible system variable is now showing, just that.

Your account security is not in danger for this bug

and... Even the (.nomail) not showing in the user profile, this (.nomail) create problems.

If the (.nomail) is there, members with hotmail account will never receive the forum emails even if they add the forum email address to the trustful emails list.

So I believe the (.nomail) tag is not helping no one !!

I did open all the hotmail and live email address accounts (around 300) and I clean all the (.nomail) one by one on administrator panel .

Now.. I did send the forum news letter again and this time I didnt have any return emails

and yes Dion, this is a bug.
If the problem persist I will come back to this topic.

(by the way Leeloo... how can you see if this is a bug by looking at a screen shot ? )
