"Private messages" button not changing?

Hello there guys! I have a brief question - recently I installed a premade skin for my forum and I changed some of the buttons, but for some reason, when I receive a new private message, the button does not change. Neither does the text when I hover over the button, so it shows as if I do not have any message, even though I sent myself a PM to check it. It does seem to be broken. This is my forum, if this is any help. Does anybody know what could be wrong? Thanks!

I noticed when I changed users that the forum showed as if there were no new posts, does it check with the IP or something? Thanks!

I just testing the private message system. I saw the New Message button.

Not for me, I did send myself a message last night, but it shows the same. How weird, perhaps it's something to do with my browser?

It could be your browser. When you sent me the pm, I saw the New Message button. I am using IE 8.

It just now showed up, but it only showed as the "new message" image until I checked the PM I had - then it went back to "no new messages", even though I had another unread message. Is that the normal behavior?

It will only stay the New Message button until you visit your Inbox page.
